Childhood recalled? Is this a house or children playground? This is my first impression to the project.
Architect Sou Fujimoto has created a wooden house to express the versatility of lumber. It blurs between wall, ceiling, floor and chair (where people can sit) that embody the architectural experience within the whole structure.
The house was built with a module of 350mm square profile cedar, which is simultaneously the dimensionality directly corresponding to human body. The function of architectural space defined by the occupier’s position and how the occupier uses, and maintain an undifferentiated condition that harmony with human behavior.
